Not sure if I got this recipe out of a cook book or off the back of a bag of chocolate chips, but either way, its awfully good. The trick is using real butter and never margarine, at least in my opinion.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 3/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c
    well packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2
    large eggs
  • 1
    (12 oz.) package semi-sweet chocolate morsels

How to Make Simple Chocolate Chip Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small mixing bowl. Set aside.
  3. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in a large mixer bowl until creamy.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Gradually beat in flour mixture.
  6. Stir in chocolate morsels.
  7. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for 7 minutes or so.
  9. Cool on wire wracks.
