simple chocolate chip cookies

Not sure if I got this recipe out of a cook book or off the back of a bag of chocolate chips, but either way, its awfully good. The trick is using real butter and never margarine, at least in my opinion.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup well packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 - large eggs
  • 1 - (12 oz.) package semi-sweet chocolate morsels

How To Make simple chocolate chip cookies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small mixing bowl. Set aside.
  • Step 3
    Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in a large mixer bowl until creamy.
  • Step 4
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Step 5
    Gradually beat in flour mixture.
  • Step 6
    Stir in chocolate morsels.
  • Step 7
    Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Step 8
    Bake for 7 minutes or so.
  • Step 9
    Cool on wire wracks.
