1 stickunsalted butter, soft

2/3 cgranulated sugar

1 tspvanilla extract

1/2 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspbaking soda

1/2 cunsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 ccrushed peppermint red and white candies

1 cvanilla or white chocolate chips
How To Make santa's snowflake cookies

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2In a medium mixing bowl, cream together onmedium high speed the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add the egg and beat for 1 minute. Add the vanilla, red food coloring, and vinegar, beat for 2 minutes.

3In a small bowl stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cocoa powder, until well blended.

4Add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture; stir together until all the dough is red. Stir the crushed peppermint candy and white chocolate chips into dough.

5Drop two teaspoons or a small cookie scoop of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake 9 minutes, cool on baking sheet for 1 minute, and then remove to a cooling rack to cool. Store cookies in an airtight container. Makes about 36 cookies.
