Ingredients

  • 1 c
    semisweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 1/3 c
    powdered sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    corn syrup
  • 1/3 c
    rum or bourbon or orange juice
  • 2 -1/2 c
    vanilla wafer crumbs or chocolate wafer crumbs
  • 1 c
    walnuts, finely chopped
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    unsweetened cocoa

How to Make Rum Balls

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine melted chocolate, powdered sugar, corn syrup and rum or bourbon.
    Stir in wafer crumbs and walnuts, blending well.
    Let stand 30 minutes.
    Shape into 1 inch balls.
  2. In a small bowl, combine cocoa and sugar.
    Roll balls in cocoa mixture.
    Set aside to air dry for about an hour.
    Store in an airtight container at least 1 day before serving.
