Ingredients

1 cpersimmon pulp (aprox. 2 persimmons)

1 tspbaking soda

1/2 cshortening
-
1 cgranulated sugar

1egg, beaten

2 call purpose flour, sifted

1/2 tspcinnamon

1/2 tspnutmeg

1/2 tspground cloves
-
1/2 tspsalt

1 cwalnuts, chopped
How to Make Persimmon Cookies
- Preheat oven to 350ยบ
- Press persimmon pulp through a sieve and measure. Dissolve baking soda to pulp.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream shortening, sugar, and egg; mix well.
- Add remaining ingredients and pulp to the creamed mixture; mix well.
- Drop cookie dough by teaspoon onto cookie sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes.
