My mom always made these at Christmas time. They are similar to Mexican Wedding cakes.

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 2 1/2 cups flour, sifted
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
How To Make pecan sticks

Step 1Cream butter, add sugar and rest of ingredients (except for powdered sugar).

Step 2Mix well, roll into "sticks" about the size of your thumb. (I suppose that depends how big your thumbs are!)

Step 3Bake at 250 degrees F. for 45 minutes.

Step 4While hot, roll them in powdered sugar, let cool on rack
