This was one of my favorite cookies my mom would make, when I was a kid. Even as a big kid, still love em. They bring back so many memories every time I make them for my kids. Taking some to mom tonight, she will be so surprised.

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    each - peanut butter, white sugar, packed brown sugar, butter flavored crisco
  • 2 large
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 c
    flour
  • sugar
    for rolling cookies

How to Make ~ Peanut Butter Cookies ~ My Moms

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

    In a large bowl, cream the sugars, peanut butter and C Crisco until fluffy.

    Beat in eggs, one at a time and blend thoroughly after each addition. Beat in the vanilla.
  2. Sift flour, soda and salt together, and add to the peanut butter mixture. Mix well.

    Using my cookie scoop ( about 1 tablespoon size ) roll into balls and then roll in sugar - place on baking sheet and bake for 12 - 15 minutes. Mine took 12 minutes.
  3. Remove from sheet to cooling racks.

    Enjoy! They are wonderful!
