Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    softened butter
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1/2 c
    creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    quick cooking oatmeal
  • 16 oz
    chocolate frosting
  • 2 Tbsp
    peanut butter

How to Make Peanut Butter Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375. Grease a jelly roll pan. Beat together butter and sugars until creamy. Add egg and beat well. Add 1/2 cup peanut butter and beat until incorporated. Sift together baking soda, salt, and flour in another bowl.
  2. Stir into the creamed mixture; add vanilla and stir in oats. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 10-15 min. Cool briefly then cover with chocolate frosting mixed with 2 T peanut butter.
