  • 1 c
    butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 c
  • 3 Tbsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 2
  • 3 c
    oats, quick cooking
  • 2 1/2 c
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 c

How to Make Oatmeal Cookies


  1. Cream first 4 ingredients. Add eggs and beat well.
  2. Mix in remainder of ingredients, except raisins. Stir well.
  3. Add raisins. (Note - Let raisins soak in boiling water for a few minutes to soften. Drain before adding to batter.)
  4. Drop by teaspoon (or tablespoon for a larger cookie) on a greased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 350 for 7 to 12 minutes or until brown around the edges and no longer glossy on top. Cooking time depends on the size of the cookies.
