Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ginger, ground
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup molasses
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 - egg
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 cup hot coffee
How To Make molasses drops

Step 1Preheat the oven to 375 F.

Step 2Measure the first 8 ingredients in given order into a mixing bowl. Mix together well.

Step 3Stir the baking soda into the hot coffee. Make sure to stir this well as the baking soda does settle at the bottom. Add to the molasses mixture. Mix until thoroughly blended.

Step 4Drop by tablespoon onto a parchment papered or greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes in the oven.
