Ingredients
- ***COOKIES***
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse kosher salt
- 1/2 + 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/3 cups milk chocolate chips
- 1/2cup + 1 tablespoons dark brown sugar, packed
- 6 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1/2 cup peanut butter, creamy
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ***FILLING***
- 3 ounces high quality cmilk chocolate bar
- 1/4 cup peanut butter, creamy
- 6 tablespoons whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- ***PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES***
How To Make milk chocolate-peanut butter sandwich cookies

Step 1FILLING-- Place chocolate bar, peanut butter, sugar and salt in a medium bowl. Bring whipping cream to a light boil in a medium sauce pan. Pour whipping cream over chocolate mixture stirring well until smooth. Chill in refrigerator for 1 hour until thick and spreadable.

Step 2COOKIES--Using an electric mixer, cream butter and both sugars until blended. Add peanut butter mixing until creamy. Gradually beat in oil, vanilla then the egg.

Step 3In medium bowl, whisk, flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Gradually add to creamed mixture until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips.

Step 4Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Let sit a few minutes on cookie sheet before transferring to a cooling rack. Let cool completely.

Step 5ASSEMBLY--Spread 1 teaspoonful of filling onto flat side of cookie. Top with another cookie. Store in airtight container.
