Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter - softened
- 1 cup oil (vegitable or canola)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup confectioners' (powder) sugar
- 4 cups all purpose flour
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

Step 1Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Cream together the butter, oil and sugars.

Step 3Add the eggs, one at a time. Then add the vanilla. Mix until nice and fluffy.

Step 4In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt, cream of tartar and baking soda.

Step 5Add the flour mix to the butter mix, and combine until fluffy.

Step 6Let the dough rest in the fridge for about 30 minutes or longer.

Step 7Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 8When ready to bake, drop the batter by the tablespoon onto the cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart. (A cookie dough scoop works best for perfect, uniform cookies).

Step 9Bake for 9-11 minutes, making sure NOT to let them brown!
