Ingredients

1 3/4 csugar

1 ccrisco

2eggs
-
2 tspbaking soda

1 1/2 tspbaking powder

6 cflour

3 Tbspvanilla

1 cbuttermilk
How to Make Melt In Your Mouth Sugar Cookies
- Cream sugar and Crisco until light and fluffy, add eggs, baking soda, baking powder, salt and vanilla. Mix well.
- Alternate flour and buttermilk. (I usually only use between 5 1/2 -5 3/4 cups of flour). Cover and refrigerate for an hour.
- Place dough on floured pastry cloth. Roll to desired thickness. 1/4" makes a good puffed up cookie. Cut out and bake at 350 for 7-9 minutes until just golden brown on the bottom.
