Created to satisfy my craving for maple & cinnamon. It's a twist on the favorite chocolate chip cookie. Not too sweet but a good and different cookie

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup granulate sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 stick butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 ounces mini cinnamon chips
- 4 ounces pecans, in pieces
- - 1 part cinnamon 2 parts sugar blended
How To Make maple cinnamon chip cookies

Step 1Sift all dry ingredients(flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon) together set aside

Step 2In a stand mixer, using paddle attachment on medium speed, cream butter and shortening until well blended, add sugars, continue to mix, add eggs one at a time, until all ingredients are incorporated, scraping sides of bowl, frequently.

Step 3Slowly (on slow speed) add flour mixture a little at a time, until risk of flour flying out, is gone. Then increase speed to medium, continue mixing until it's the consistency of soft dough. Hand stir in nuts and cinnamon chips to dough until well blended. Cover and chill for an hour (or overnight is fine)

Step 4Line baking sheet with parchment paper. drop tablespoon size onto cookie sheet spacing 2 inches apart. Bake at 350: 10-12 minutes. Cookies will have a soft center with crispy edge. Sprinkle with sugar/cinnamon mixture while still warm. Cool, Enjoy!
