maldon salted caramel delightful cookies
This is the recipe from the back of a package of Nestle Toll House Delightfuls caramel filled baking morsels. I sprinkled Maldon salt on the top halfway through baking and it took the flavor to the next level. Delish!

Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour (plus 1 to 2 additional tablespoons if omitting nuts)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter (2 sticks), softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups (1 pkg.) caramel filled morsels
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1 tablespoon maldon salt or other flaky sea salt
How To Make maldon salted caramel delightful cookies

Step 1Assemble ingredients and utensils.

Step 2Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl; set aside.

Step 3Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy.

Step 4Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Step 5Gradually beat in flour mixture. (Remember to add 1 to 2 extra tablespoons of flour if not adding nuts.)

Step 6Stir in morsels and nuts.

Step 7Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 8Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets (I line mine with parchment paper.)

Step 9Bake 5 minutes, remove from oven and sprinkle each cookie with a pinch of Maldon salt.

Step 10Return to oven and bake an additional 6 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 11Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
