It took me a few years to come up with this recipe. Others I tried turned out too greasy or too soft, but this one is just right!

  • 2 1/2 c
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1 c
  • 1 c
    peanut butter
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 c
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2

How to Make Peanut Butter Cookies


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. In medium sized bowl measure out dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, & salt) and set aside
  3. Using a stand mixer blend together cold butter cut into pats and peanut butter
  4. Add sugar and brown sugar to butters and blend till smooth
  5. Whisk eggs in a small bowl, then add to dough and mix well
  6. Gradually ad dry ingredients until well blended
  7. Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet by teaspoonfuls or use a scoop. Press with the tines of a fork dipped in flour, in two directions to create a crisscross pattern on each cookie
  8. Bake for 8 - 10 minutes till slightly golden, then cool on waxed paper
