Ingredients
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3/4 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup corn oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Step 1Preheat oven to 350* F. Grease 2 baking sheets or large baking pans with rims.

Step 2Pour the milk in a small bowl and add the raisins to plump them a little. Measure all the remaining ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Add the milk and mix well.

Step 3Either spread the dough in a large baking tin; patting it smooth with lightly floured hands, or drop it by spoonfuls onto a baking sheet. Bake 20 minutes.
