Huge snowstorm..forgot to buy eggs..ran out the night before..so went looking for something deliscious ( but healthy) to bake with out eggs...and stumbled on this recipe..easy to make and tastes good too..

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup - shortening
- 1cup - dark molasses
- 1 tsp - sslt
- 1 1/2 tbsp - ginger
- 1 tsp - baking soda
- 2 tbsp - warm water
- 3 cups - flour
How To Make ginger cookies

Step 1Mix shortening, ginger and molasses .

Step 2Dissolve soda in warm water and add to mixture.

Step 3Add enough flour to form soft dough(about 3 cups).

Step 4Roll out on floured board and cut into rounds. Bake in a 350° oven until light brown..( about 8 min. ).

Step 5NOTE:if desired dough dough may be formed into 2 rolls, wrapped in wax paper and refridgerated. Slice thin and bake as directed..
