ginger cookies
Huge snowstorm..forgot to buy eggs..ran out the night before..so went looking for something deliscious ( but healthy) to bake with out eggs...and stumbled on this recipe..easy to make and tastes good too..

Ingredients For ginger cookies

1/2 cupshortening
-
1cupdark molasses
-
1 tspsslt
-
1 1/2 tbspginger
-
1 tspbaking soda

2 tbspwarm water

3 cupsflour
How To Make ginger cookies

1Mix shortening, ginger and molasses .

2Dissolve soda in warm water and add to mixture.

3Add enough flour to form soft dough(about 3 cups).

4Roll out on floured board and cut into rounds. Bake in a 350° oven until light brown..( about 8 min. ).

5NOTE:if desired dough dough may be formed into 2 rolls, wrapped in wax paper and refridgerated. Slice thin and bake as directed..
