gidget's cracker candy
When I was working at the Child Development Center at Mountain Home AFB, ID, there was a woman who worked there named Gidget. She was an awesome lady and this was her recipe that she would bring at Christmas for cookie swaps. She died a couple of years ago, but I still make these every Christmas. I think of Gidget when I'm making them :-) You can't eat just one.

Ingredients
- 40 - saltine crackers
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 package (12 oz) semi sweet or milk choc chips (i like semi sweet)
- 1 cup chopped pecans
How To Make gidget's cracker candy

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil and spray with Pam. Lay out crackers with sides touching.

Step 3Bring butter and sugar to a boil. Boil for 3 min. then pour over crackers. Spread evenly with offset spatula.

Step 4Bake at 350 for 5 minutes.

Step 5Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Let sit 2 min then spread evenly over crackers. Sprinkle with the chopped nuts.

Step 6Separate crackers onto wax paper before cooling. Sweet and Salty, YUMMMMM!
