  • 2 c

  • 1 tsp

  • 1/2 tsp

  • 1 1/2 c
    chopped fresh figs
  • 1/2 c
chopped pecans (walnuts would also be good)

How to Make Fig Crispies

Step-by-Step

  1. Cream: brown sugar & butter, in medium bowl add egg
  2. Sift together: wheat flour, soda, baking powder, sea salt and cloves.
    Add to cream mixture
  3. Fold in figs & pecans
The mixture is dry, do not worry about this. Cool in fridge for apprx 20 mins. This is when I clean up & get my cooling racks ready.
  4. Form into small balls (not quite an inch, they will rise). On greased cookie sheet place 2 inches apart.
Bake at 350 for 20 mins.
Cook completely and dust with Confectioners sugar.
