These are another favorite recipe that came from my mom. She made these ever since I was little and we all fought over them! This is a chewy cookie with a surprising crunch.

Ingredients
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup butter(2 sticks)
- 1 - egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup rice krispies cereal
- 1 cup sweetened coconut
- 1 cup quick-cooking oatmeal
- 1/2 cup walnuts, pecans, etc. (baker's choice)
How To Make everyday cookies

Step 1Mix flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt in a large bowl and set aside

Step 2Cream together butter, oil and both sugars until well mixed and then add vanilla.

Step 3Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients just until all moistened.

Step 4Stir in Rice Krispies, coconut, quick-cooking oatmeal and nuts of your choice until blended.

Step 5Roll into 1-inch balls and flatten cookies with a cup dipped in sugar.

Step 6Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
