butter, room temperature
almond extract, more or less to taste
1Beat the butter until fluffy. Add sugar, salt, extract, and eggs. Beat. Add flour and combine well. This is a very thick batter. Spread in a greased 9x13 pan.
2Bake at 350° for about 30 min. or until a toothpick comes out clean. When they have cooled sprinkle with powdered sugar.
3Optional: Instead of powdered sugar before baking sprinkle slivered almonds and sugar on top.
