double chocolate chip cookies

makes 3 to 4 dozen cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 cup butter, unsalted (room temp)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup butter milk
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 &1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (not needed if you used salted butter)
- 2 cups dark chocolate chips (12 oz bag)
How To Make double chocolate chip cookies

Step 1Preheat oven at 350 and line cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2Combine cocoa powder, flour, baking soda and salt, sift and set aside. In mixer combine butter and sugars and beat till well creamed. Add eggs and vanilla and beat till light and fluffy Beat in buttermilk. By hand mix in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.

Step 3Drop spoon fulls onto parchment lined cookie sheet. I use a 1" cookie scoop. Bake for 10 minutes at 350. Place on cooling wrack to cool. Now break out the milk and enjoy! This is a soft cookie, buttermilk makes the cookie soft and yummy!
