This is Diana's favorite cookie and has now become one of our favorites also. She used to cook at the elementary school and the children loved her cookies. A lot of her recipes also came from her Grandmother White, and I'll be posting them for her.

Ingredients

1/3 cup shortening
1/3 cup margarine
1 - egg
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1--1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup nuts (optional)

How To Make diana's favorite chocolate chip cookies

Step 1

Cream the shortening, margarine, and eggs. Add the dry ingredients and vanilla. Mix well

Step 2

Add the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoons on to cookie sheet pan and bake at 350* 12-14 min.
