Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 - egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups quick oats
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts, toasted

How To Make decadent cocoa oatmeal cookies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease or line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Beat butter in medium bowl with electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add sugar and brown sugar; beat until well blended. Add egg and vanilla; beat just until combined. Add flour, cocoa, and baking powder; beat at low speed just until blended. (Dough will be sticky.) Stir in oats, chocolate chips, and nuts.
  • Step 2
    Shape tablespoonfuls of dough into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets. Slightly flatten each ball with back of spoon. Bake 8 minutes or until set. Cool on cookie sheets 5 minutes. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
