  • 1 1/4 c
    sifted flour
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 c
    soft butter
  • 1/2 c
    chunky peanut butter
  • 1/2 c
    light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla

How to Make Crisscross Peanut Butter Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. In a large bowl, combine butter and peanut butter. Beat for 30 seconds at medium speed.
  2. Add sugar and brown sugar; beat until fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla; beat well.
  4. Combine sifted dry ingredients and stir in flour mixture; beat until well blended,
  5. Refrigerate, covered, at least 1 hour.
  6. Form dough into 1 inch balls.
  7. Place on lightly greased cookie sheets. Flatten with fork, dipped in flour, making a criss-cross pattern.
  8. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
  9. Cool 1 minute; remove to rack.
