Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/ cup powered sugar
- 1 - large egg yolk
- 1 1/2 dashes flour
- 1 1/4 cups dried cranberries
- 1 dash brown sugar, firmly packed
- 5 teaspoons butter
- 3 tablespoons whipping cream
- 3 tablespoons dark corn syrup
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 1/4 cups pecans, in pieces
How To Make cranberry nut cookies

Step 1Beat 1/2 cup softened butter and powdered sugar at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy and fluffy. Add egg yolk, beating just until blended. Add flour slowly, and beat at low speed until mixture is crumbly.

Step 2Press flour mixture on bottom and slightly up sides of a 13 by 9 pan lined with no stick aluminum foil.

Step 3Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until edges and surface are lightly browned. Remove from oven; sprinkle crust evenly with chopped pecans and cranberries, and let cool.

Step 4Bring brown sugar and next 4 ingredients to a boil, stirring constantly, in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Pour brown sugar mixture evenly over chopped pecans and cranberries in baking dish

Step 5Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until golden. Remove from oven, and let cool completely. Cut into 20 squares; cut squares
