My music students and their parents loved these when I made them for our annual recital the other day!

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups flour plus 1 tablespoon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups oatmeal, uncooked
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 cup holiday red and green chocolate baking chips
- 1 cup red and green chocolate candies for topping
How To Make christmas monster cookies

Step 1In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream together butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla.

Step 2In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, salt and oatmeal. Add dry to wet ingredients and mix until combined.

Step 3Roll into balls and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit on lightly greased cookie sheets for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately press chocolate candies into tops of cookies. Let sit on sheets for a few minutes, then remove to cooling racks.
