butter, softened
3/4 c
brown sugar
1 c
white sugar

eggs
2 tsp
vanilla
2 c
flour plus 1 tablespoon
1 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
salt
1 1/2 c
oatmeal, uncooked
1 c
walnuts, chopped
1 c
holiday red and green chocolate baking chips
1 c
red and green chocolate candies for topping

How to Make Christmas Monster Cookies

Step-by-Step

  • 1In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream together butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla.
  • 2In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, salt and oatmeal. Add dry to wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  • 3Roll into balls and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit on lightly greased cookie sheets for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately press chocolate candies into tops of cookies. Let sit on sheets for a few minutes, then remove to cooling racks.
