Ingredients

  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 c
    white sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 c
    flour plus 1 tablespoon
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/2 c
    oatmeal, uncooked
  • 1 c
    walnuts, chopped
  • 1 c
    holiday red and green chocolate baking chips
  • 1 c
    red and green chocolate candies for topping

How to Make Christmas Monster Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream together butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla.
  2. In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, salt and oatmeal. Add dry to wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  3. Roll into balls and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit on lightly greased cookie sheets for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately press chocolate candies into tops of cookies. Let sit on sheets for a few minutes, then remove to cooling racks.
