Ingredients

  • 2 stick
    butter, unsalted
  • 2 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 4
    eggs, beaten
  • 2 c
    chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 c
    cocoa
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla

How to Make Chocolate Walnut Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Add flour, nuts and chocolate chips in a large bowl. In a medium sauce pan over medium heat melt butter.
  2. Add sugar,cocoa, baking soda, salt and vanilla to melted butter, stir well for 2 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and slowly( a little at a time so the eggs do not cook ) add the eggs, stir well . Pour mixture into the flour and mix well. Do not use a mixer because you will over mix.
  4. Place rounded teaspoon on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for 10. Let cool 2 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling. ( makes 6 1/2 dozen)
