Ingredients
- 2 cups old fashioned oats
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 - egg
- 2 teaspoons grated orange peel
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 package 12 ounces milk chocolate chips
How To Make chocolate dipped oat cookies

Step 1Combine oats, brown sugar, walnuts, oil, egg, orange peel, and salt in large bowl until blended. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease or line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Melt chocolate chips in top of double boiler over simmering water; keep warm. Shape oat mixture into large marble size balls. Place 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets.

Step 2Bake 10 minutes or until lightly browned and crisp. Cool on cookie sheets 1 minute. Remove to wire racks; cool 10 minutes. Dip top of each cookie in melted chocolate. Place on waxed paper; let stand until set.
