I prefer to bake with brown sugar. You can choose to use half granulated sugar and half brown sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/8 c
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    butter softened
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter softened
  • 3/4 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp
    milk
  • 1
    large egg
  • 1 c
    chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans

How to Make Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Beat butter, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in a separate bowl until creamy.
  4. Beat egg into sugar mixture.
  5. Gradually mix in flour mixture.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
  7. Spoon into a ball and place on cookies sheet about 1 1/2-2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool for about 2 minutes. Enjoy!
