  • 2 - eggs
  • 2-1/4 cup unsifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3/4 package ghirardelli bittersweet cacao chips
  • OPTIONAL: CHOPPED WALNUTS, OR PECANS

How To Make chocolate chip cookies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven 375 degrees. Bakes best using a cookie sheet.
  • Step 2
    Stir flour, baking soda, and salt then set aside.
  • Step 3
    In another bowl cream with fork the softened butter, sugars, vanilla.
  • Step 4
    Add eggs then mix at low speed.
  • Step 5
    Blend together slowly the dry ingredients then mix in the chocolate chips. Also the nuts if preferred.
  • Step 6
    drop by teaspoon full 2 inches apart onto an ungreased baking pan.
  • Step 7
    bake at 350-375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. According to how hot your oven gets due to the variation which is due to climate. let cool 5-10 minutes then carefully lift from pan for additional cooling. Timing is crucial must be just right for a soft chewy cookie. So keep your eye on the time.
