I wanted to add a little something healthy to the chocolate chip biscuits my kids loved, so, I updated the recipe by adding rolled oats. They didnt notice the difference but I felt better about what I was putting in their lunch box.
It's such a quick & easy recipe, the kids can make their own!

Ingredients

  • 75 g
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    white sugar
  • 1
    large egg
  • 1/2 c
    chocolate chips/drops
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 c
    flour
  • 1/4 c
    rolled oats

How to Make Choc Chip & Oat Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt butter then add both sugars & the egg. Beat with a fork or whisk until throroughly mixed.
  2. Sift in flour & baking soda. Sprinkle chocolate chips & rolled oats over. Mix together well (& try not to eat too much mix at this stage as it is so delicious ;).
  3. Line a baking tray & drop tablespoon lots of the mix onto the tray, leaving room for spreading.
  4. Bake at 180C for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
