choc chip & oat cookies

I wanted to add a little something healthy to the chocolate chip biscuits my kids loved, so, I updated the recipe by adding rolled oats. They didnt notice the difference but I felt better about what I was putting in their lunch box. It's such a quick & easy recipe, the kids can make their own!

Ingredients

  • 75 grams butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 - large egg
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips/drops
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats

How To Make choc chip & oat cookies

  • Step 1
    Melt butter then add both sugars & the egg. Beat with a fork or whisk until throroughly mixed.
  • Step 2
    Sift in flour & baking soda. Sprinkle chocolate chips & rolled oats over. Mix together well (& try not to eat too much mix at this stage as it is so delicious ;).
  • Step 3
    Line a baking tray & drop tablespoon lots of the mix onto the tray, leaving room for spreading.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 180C for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
