Ingredients

  • ·
    1/2 cup butter
  • ·
    1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • ·
    2 eggs, beaten
  • ·
    2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ·
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • ·
    1/2 cup chopped pecsns or walnuts
  • ·
    1 cup candied cherries, chopped
  • ·
    4 slices candied pineapple, red and green, chopped

How to Make Candied Fruit Christmas Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Cream butter, and sugar until fluffy. Stir in beaten eggs. Mix well.
  2. Sift flour and soda together - add to butter and sugar mixture.
  3. Mix candied fruit and nuts with 1/4 cup of flour and add to the mixture. Mix well.
  4. Drop by teaspoons full on a greased cooking sheet.
    Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. Do not overcook or fruit will become hard.
