I think the flavor of butterscotch makes you feel so warm so it is perfect for holiday season. So I made these for children my husband takes care as a volunteer hoping these treats make them warm and happy!

butter, softened
1/3 c
maple syrup
4 Tbsp
safflower oil
3/4 c
light brown sugar
1 tsp
1 Tbsp
egg, large
2 1/2 c
all purpose flour
1/3 c
2 tsp
baking powder
1 c
butterscotch chips

How to Make Butterscotch Cookie


  • 1Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • 2In a large bowl, whisk together butter, maple syrup, safflower oil, brown sugar, salt and molasses until frosty. Whisk in egg then all-purpose flour, corn starch and baking powder. Mix with rubber spatula to blend well. Fold in butterscotch morsels.
  • 3Take a spoonful of dough, shape into a ball, place onto the parchment paper and press the top of dough to flatten. Repeat this until the dough is gone.
  • 4Bake in preheated 350 degrees F oven for 15-17 minutes.
