best chocolate brownies

Brownies is definitely one of my favorite desserts. I just cannot help myself when you serve up a plate of these goodies. We especially like them with big chunks of walnuts! This recipe is a good old fashion brownie with soft thick texture and lots of chocolate and nuts. They do not last long!

Ingredients

  • 4 - eggs
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 sticks butter, melted
  • 4 tablespoons hershey's cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 1/2 ounce german chocolate baking bar (2 pieces)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped large
  • - powdered sugar for garnish

How To Make best chocolate brownies

  • Step 1
    Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 13"x9" baking dish with oil. Melt butter and stir in the German Chocolate squares until melted.
  • Step 2
    Combine eggs, sugar, vanilla, and chocolate/butter mixture in a mixing bowl; mix well. Sift together flour, cocoa, and salt. Add to sugar and and egg mixture and blend ingredients. Add walnuts and stir. Batter will be thin. Pour into baking dish.
  • Step 3
    Bake for 30 minutes or until set in middle when tested with cake tester. Do not over bake. Cool before cutting and dust with powdered sugar using a shifter or tea strainer. Serve.
