banana - oat - chocolate chip cookies
I've been on an Oatmeal kick lately...makes everything chewy and yummy...these soft cookies remind me of a banana muffin...so yummy... a great way to use up ripe banana's...enjoy!

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup crisco
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 - egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 large ripe banana's or 1 cup ( mashed )
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 cups quick oats
- 1 - 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips - i use semi-sweet
How To Make banana - oat - chocolate chip cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degree F. Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.

Step 2Combine the flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Step 3Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in bananas, oats and chocolate chips.

Step 4Drop tablespoon size portions onto greased cookie sheet and bake for 10 - 12 minutes.

Step 5Remove immediately to wire racks to cool.
