- 1 cup shortening
- 2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup coffee
- 2 cups applesauce, unsweetened
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon clove, ground
- 1 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup nuts,chopped(i use walnuts)
How To Make applesauce cookies

Step 1*before mixing make sure to drain Applesauce mix shortening,sugar,eggs,thouroughly stir in coffee,applesauce measure flour by sifting,mix remaining ingredients stir into applesauce mixture Chill 2 hours

Step 2Bake 400 on ungreased cookie sheet 9-12 mins
