Mom made these for us all the time when we were kids! We loved them. A soft, moist, cake like cookie.

Ingredients For apple sauce cookies

1/2 c

butter
1 c

sugar
1 c

apple sauce
1

egg
2 c

flour
1 tsp

baking soda
1/2 tsp

each- cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and salt
1 c

chopped walnuts
1 c

raisins

How To Make apple sauce cookies

Cream butter and sugar together. Add egg, and apple sauce. Mix well.

Add dry ingredients. (not nuts and raisins) Mix well.

When well blended together, add walnuts and raisins. Mix well.

Drop from teaspoon onto cookie sheet.

Bake at 400 degrees, for 8 minutes.
