ochoa rios pecan fudge pie
My late husband's favorite pie, although he was not overly fond of desserts. Developed this recipe after our trip to Ochoa Rios in 1990.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
- 3 - eggs
- 12 ounces chocolate morsels, melted
- 2 teaspoons instant coffee powder
- 1 teaspoon rum extract, or dark rum
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup flaked coconut
- 1 - unbaked pie shell
How To Make ochoa rios pecan fudge pie

Step 1Make you pie crust. Set aside.

Step 2Make the fudge filling. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Step 3Add melted chocolate, coffee powder and rum. Stir in flour, pecans and coconut.

Step 4Pour into your unbanked pie shell.. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or until done.
