I had some left over caramel ice cream topping, so this is what I used it for...I love anything with oats...the fiber oatmeal provides is a plus...enjoy!

Ingredients

1 1/2 c
butter, melted
2 c
flour
1 tsp
baking soda
2 c
quick oatmeal
1 1/2 c
brown sugar
1/2 tsp
salt
1 tsp
vanilla
8 oz
chocolate chips, your choice
8 oz
caramel ice cream topping
4 Tbsp
flour

How to Make Chocolate - Caramel - Oatmeal Bars

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Grease a 13x9 inch baking pan.

    In a medium bowl, combine butter, flour, baking soda, vanilla, oatmeal, brown sugar and salt. Stir to combine.
  • 2Press half of this mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.

    Bake for 10 minutes. Cool slightly.
  • 3Combine caramel topping and flour.
  • 4Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust. Drizzle caramel mixture over chocolate chips.
  • 5Crumble remaining oatmeal mixture over the top of the caramel.

    Bake for 15 minutes. Let bars cool before cutting
  • 6Enjoy!
