Ingredients
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 cups whole pecans
How To Make louisiana pecan pralines

Step 1Place all ingredients, except pecans, in a saucepan with a heavy bottom and cook over medium heat, stirring until it comes to a boil.

Step 2Then stir occasionally and cook until soft ball forms when a small amount is dropped in cold water. Add pecans; beat well until lukewarm.

Step 3Drop by spoonfuls over waxed paper to cool.
