Ingredients
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup chopped dates
- 1 cup chopped nut meats

Step 1Boil sugar and evaporated milk to soft-ball stage. Stir in dates and nuts and remove from heat. When cool enough to handle, form into a roll with buttered hands. Wrap in a damp cloth, chill, slice about 1/4 inch thick pieces, and dust with granulated sugar.
