Absolutely the best walnut candy I've ever had! The sour cream is the best part. You can use other nuts for variety.

Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 dash of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups walnut halves
How To Make candied walnuts

Step 1Combine sugars and sour cream in small saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring until mixture boils.

Step 2Continue to boil until mixture reaches soft ball stage (240F) or forms a soft ball when dropped into cold water. Stir in salt and vanilla.

Step 3Pour hot candy mixture over walnuts in a mixing bowl. Mix until walnuts are evenly coated.

Step 4Spoon out onto waxed paper, separating walnuts.

Step 5When dry, store in airtight container.
