Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 - eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground mixed spices
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- - white boiled icing
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 16 cups boiled chestnuts, ground
- - confectioners' sugar
How To Make witch cake

Step 1Cream butter with sugar; add eggs and beat 5 minutes; add milk.

Step 2Sift together cornstarch, flour, spices and baking powder; then add to the mixture. Flour raisins and add to mixture with nuts. Turn into a well greased loaf cake pan and bake in a moderate oven about 45 minutes.

Step 3Frost cooled cake with boiled icing. Melt chocolate; then add in lemon juice and chestnuts and enough confectioner's sugar to make a paste easily handled.

Step 4Roll the paste and cut into Halloween figures, press them into the icing on the sides of the cake.
