1Cream butter with sugar; add eggs and beat 5 minutes; add milk.
2Sift together cornstarch, flour, spices and baking powder; then add to the mixture. Flour raisins and add to mixture with nuts. Turn into a well greased loaf cake pan and bake in a moderate oven about 45 minutes.
3Frost cooled cake with boiled icing. Melt chocolate; then add in lemon juice and chestnuts and enough confectioner's sugar to make a paste easily handled.
4Roll the paste and cut into Halloween figures, press them into the icing on the sides of the cake.
