This is a fast, delicious, surprisingly moist cake! Perfect to take to church socials or just a fun spring cake for decorating. (minus the pecans) I made it to take to my church for our annual BBQ. I cut it into squares and plated individually for easy serving. So good, so easy, so loved!

Ingredients For white texas sheet cake

2 call purpose flour
-
2 csugar
-
1 tspsalt
-
1 tspbaking soda
-
2 stickbutter (1cup)

1 cwater
-
1/2 csour cream
-
2eggs, lightly beaten
-
1 tspalmond extract
-
1 cpecans chopped
- ICING
-
1/2 cbutter (1stick)
-
1/4 cmilk
-
1/2 tspalmond ext
-
3 cpowdered sugar
How To Make white texas sheet cake

1Grease and flour 13x9 pan
-
2Combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder in a large bowl.

3In a sauce pan combine butter and water and bring to a low boil. Add to flour mixture and mix slowly.

4Slowly mix in sour cream, eggs, and almond extract
-
5Pour into 13x9 pan and bake 20-22 minutes on 350*

6ICING: In a saucepan combine butter and milk. Bring to a boil over low heat.

7Remove from heat and whisk in almond extract.

8Whisk in powdered sugar until smooth
-
9Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
