Ingredients

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 2 c
    self rising flour unsifted
  • 2 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 1 can(s)
    20 oz crushed pineapple with juice
  • OPTIONAL

  • 1/2 c
    carrots, grated
  • CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

  • 8 oz
    package cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 stick
    softened butter
  • 1 3/4 c
    powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp
    almond extract
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt

How to Make Sunday Rush Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all together.Pour into a greased and floured 9×13 pan. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 30-45 minutes. Frost if desired with Cream Cheese Frosting.
  2. Cream Cheese Frosting:
    Mix together cream cheese and butter. Beat in sugar, salt and vanilla and almond extracts.
  3. Enjoy. Add grated carrots as an option.
    Sprinkle 1/4 cup chopped walnuts on frosting as an option.
