Ingredients
- 1 box yellow or white cake mix
- 1 cup mascarone cheese
- 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
- 3 tablespoons honey, divided
- 3 tablespoons lemon zest, divided
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/3 cup strawberry jam
- 1-1/2 cup sliced strawberries
How To Make strawberry-topped cake

Step 1Bake cake as directed, using 2 9-in cake pans.

Step 2Meanwhile, combine cheese, yogurt, 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 tablespoon lemon zest, and lemon juice.

Step 3When cake is cool, spread jam on bottom half of cake and then spread half of prepared cheese mixture over jam.

Step 4Top with second half of cake and spread remaining cheese mixture over top. Arrange sliced strawberries in a concentric circle starting from the outer edge and working towards the center to create a flower-like effect.

Step 5Sprinkle with remaining lemon zest. When ready to serve, drizzle top with remaining honey.
