My mom always made me strawberry cake for my birthday for my birthday. It was the one recipe that I didn't get before she passed away. My husband says that this one is the closest one to hers.

Ingredients
- 1 box white cake mix
- 4 - large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 ounce strawberry puree (i use fresh)
- 1/2 box 3 oz strawberry jello
- 1 teaspoon strawberry extract
- ICING
- 1 package cream cheese
- 1 package small cool whip
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
How To Make strawberry cake

Step 1Mix all the cake ingredients except for strawberry puree together. Once mixed well add the puree and well. Bake at 350 until toothpick comes out clean.

Step 2For Icing - mix all ingredients well. Spread over cooled cake. I often add another layer of fresh berries either on top or beneath the icing.
