spooky owl cup cakes

I've seen these done using the whole cup cake, but I've yet to make cup cakes big enough to fit the entire oreo cookie so I started making them this way and they are still adorable and fit on the plate! You can buy the bags of all one color M&Ms at most party supply or bakers supply stores.

Ingredients

  • 1 box dark chocolate cake
  • 1 can dark chocolate fudge frosting
  • 1 package oreo cookies
  • 1 package black m&ms
  • 1 package yellow m&ms

How To Make spooky owl cup cakes

  • Step 1
    Make cup cakes according to package directions. Let cool and frost with dark chocolate fudge frosting.
  • Step 2
    Separate an oreo cookie leaving the filling intact.
  • Step 3
    Break the frosting side of the cookie in half.
  • Step 4
    Press a black M&M into the whit frosting of each half for eye ball. Then press them with pointy side up into top of cup cakes.
  • Step 5
    turn yellow M&M side ways and press into cup cake between the eyes for a beak.
