sour cream or whipping cream cake
This is a recipe from my next door neighbor - Mrs. Hearn. NOTICE: DO NOT preheat the oven in this recipe because the 10-inch pan has to be placed into cold oven.

- 3 cups sugar
- 2 sticks butter
- 6 - eggs
- 3 cups cake flour
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 - carton whipping cream or sour cream
How To Make sour cream or whipping cream cake

Step 1Cream sugar and butter.

Step 2Add eggs, one at a time.

Step 3Add flour a little at a time, beating well.

Step 4Add vanilla.

Step 5Turn mixer on low speed and add whipping cream or sour cream.

Step 6NOTE: Be careful not to beat; just blend.

Step 7Pour into a greased and floured 10-inch pan.

Step 8Place in a cold oven.

Step 9Heat oven to 300 degrees F.

Step 10Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
